Yesterday, Tuesday, September 9, an event called ‘A Dropping’ was organized at Apple Park in Cupertino, California. The announcement of the iPhone 17 was made there.
As usual, Cook presented several eye-catching products and technologies at the event.
He announced the latest model of Apple’s most expensive brand, the iPhone. It is known that Apple fans will soon be able to order various models of the iPhone 17 and they will reach them this month.

The most affordable model of the new iPhone costs $799, which is about 97,000 taka according to the Bangladesh Bank exchange rate ($1 = 121.7 taka). It has 256 GB of storage.
However, not only the iPhone, but the company also announced new earbuds, Apple Watch and a new version of the Final Cut camera app at yesterday’s event.
Information about four new iPhone models was revealed at yesterday’s event. These are the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max.
iPhone 17
The traditional model will be sold under the name ‘iPhone 17’. It will have an innovative front camera, called ‘Center Stage’. In addition, analysts have expressed optimism that the 48-megapixel dual, rear camera system will take users’ selfie experience to a new level.
The 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR display comes with a ‘Pro Motion’ feature with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. This is a particularly convenient feature for gamers.

The phone’s touchscreen has a ‘Ceramic 2’ feature, which Apple claims makes it 3 times more scratch-resistant than before.
In addition, it has a state-of-the-art A19 chip to increase battery life and ensure better performance of the phone.
For now, 256 GB and 512 GB models will be released in the market.
iPhone 17 Air
Apple is launching this phone at just 5.6 millimeters as the ‘thinnest’ iPhone. Earlier, Apple had launched a lightweight laptop called ‘MacBook Air’ in the same style.
It has a polished Grade-5 titanium frame and ceramic shield on the front and back.
This model has the A19 Pro, N1 and C1X chips, which make the phone faster and more efficient.
The iPhone 17 Air has a 6.5-inch Pro Motion display, a 48-megapixel Fusion camera system and an 18-megapixel ‘Center Stage’ front camera. It will be available in 256GB, 512GB and 1TB models.
iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max
The most expensive and feature-rich models of the iPhone are the Pro and Pro Max. This version has an aluminum unibody for the first time.
The built-in water vapor chamber prevents the battery from draining or overheating even after long-term use.
In addition to the A19 Pro chipset, it has three 48-megapixel Fusion rear cameras.
It has the ability to take 8x optical zoom telephoto photos. In addition, like other models, it also has an 18-megapixel front sensor.
Both the Pro and Pro Max models have various tools for creating and editing professional videos.
The Pro and Pro Max have 6.3 and 6.9-inch display screens, respectively.

To distinguish it from the previous model, the Pro and Pro Max versions of the iPhone 17 have Pro Motion, 3,000 nits (a unit of measurement of light brightness) brightness, an always-on feature, and more than four times the durability of the back glass.

Price and when will it be available
The iPhone 17 series starts at $799 in the global market. Then the Air, Pro, and Pro Max are priced at $999, $1,099, and $1,199, respectively.
In this case, the price of the lowest storage version of each model has been determined.
Pre-orders will begin on September 12.
The phones will start reaching customers on September 19.
However, it is not yet known when the four new iPhone models will be available in other countries around the world, including Bangladesh.
