University Proctor and Member Secretary of the Election Commission, Professor AKM Rashidul Alam, confirmed the matter and said, “She sent her resignation letter to a staff member of her department ahead of the election results announcement. I am surprised, she worked with us sincerely until yesterday. What happened overnight that she resigned! This has surprised us all.”

Professor AKM Rashidul Alam also said, Rezwana Karim was sick for a few days. But after recovering, she worked, held meetings. If she had any objections, she could have expressed them. But it is surprising to resign ahead of the results announcement after the election.
