Gold prices have increased again after two days. However, this time the price of gold has reached the highest level in the country’s history. This time the price is increasing by 3,444 taka per bhori. With this, the price of good quality gold, i.e. 22 carats, will increase to 1,78,832 taka per bhori. This new price will be effective across the country from tomorrow, Thursday.
Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) announced this decision to adjust the price of gold in a press release on Wednesday night. It said that the price of pure gold has increased in the local market. For this reason, the price of gold has been re-determined.
Earlier, the price of gold had increased by 1,469 taka per bhori on September 1. And on April 23 of this year, the price of 22 carat gold had increased to 1,77,888 taka per bhori. That was the highest price of gold in the country’s market so far.
According to the decision of the Jewelers’ Association, from tomorrow, Thursday, the price of hallmarked 22-carat gold per bhori (11.664 grams) will increase by 1 lakh 78 thousand 832 taka, 21-carat gold by 1 lakh 70 thousand 703 taka and 18-carat gold by 1 lakh 46 thousand 313 taka in the domestic market. In addition, the price of gold per bhori made by the traditional method will increase by 1 lakh 21 thousand 166 taka.
Till today, hallmarked 22-carat gold per bhori has been sold at 1 lakh 75 thousand 788 taka, 21-carat gold by 1 lakh 67 thousand 798 taka, 18-carat gold by 1 lakh 43 thousand 829 taka and gold per bhori made by the traditional method at 1 lakh 19 thousand 43 taka.
Accordingly, from tomorrow, Thursday, the price of 22-carat gold will increase by 3 thousand 444 taka, 21-carat gold by 2 thousand 905 taka, 18-carat gold by 2 thousand 484 taka and gold made by the traditional method by 2 thousand 123 taka.
