For the past three years, Jaya had to hear regular questions from viewers and journalists about ‘Fereshte’ – ‘When will the film be released’. Now, after the release date was announced, that wait is going to end.

Despite releasing glamorous pictures on social media, Jaya Ahsan is representing the marginalized people of society in this film directed by Iranian director Morteza Atash Zamzam. The cooperation of the entire team made it possible to complete the difficult shooting smoothly.’

Since its production, the film has toured various international festivals. The film won the National Award for its humanitarian message at the prestigious Fajr Film Festival in Iran. In addition, ‘Fereshte’ was also screened as the opening film of the Dhaka International Film Festival 2024. It was also praised at the Goa International Film Festival in India.
The film’s lead actor and producer, Suman Faruk, said, “Just as we learn about their culture by watching foreign films, ‘Fereshte’ has highlighted the story of our society and culture. The film tells the story of marginalized people that the upper class society does not easily think about. It has received a lot of praise abroad, and this time I hope that the audience in our country will applaud it.”

Apart from Jaya Ahsan and Suman Faruk, the film also stars Shahiduzzaman Selim, Shahed Ali, Rikita Nandini Shimu, Shaheen Mridha and child artist Sathi. Suman Faruk was in charge of the production, and Jaya Ahsan herself was involved as a co-producer. The screenplay of the film was written by Mumit Al-Rashid of Bangladesh, who also worked on the Persian and Bengali translations with Faisal Ifran.
