iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max have been launched in India at Rs 1,34,900 and Rs 1,49,900 respectively. This is the price of the base variant with 256 GB storage. That is, the base storage of the entire iPhone 17 series has increased from 128 GB to 256 GB. Both the Pro and Pro Max will be available in Cosmic Orange, Deep Blue, and Silver color options. Pre-orders start from September 12 and deliveries will start from September 19.

The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max come with 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch displays respectively. Both models feature LTPO Super Retina XDR OLED displays with 3,000 nits peak brightness and 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate. This screen offers fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating, and anti-reflective coating. Ceramic Shield 2 offers three times more protection from scratches. The phone has an IP68 rating, meaning it is water and dust resistant.
The main attraction of the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max is the camera system. Both models feature a triple rear camera setup, which includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.6 aperture and second-generation sensor-shift optical image stabilization (OIS), a 48-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 48-megapixel telephoto camera. This is the first time that all the rear cameras on an iPhone offer the same 48-megapixel resolution.
The telephoto camera on the iPhone 17 Pro series has received the biggest upgrade compared to the 12-megapixel lens on the previous generation. The company says it is 56 percent larger and offers 8x optical zoom and 40x digital zoom. On the front, there is an 18-megapixel selfie camera. This is Apple’s first flagship smartphone series to use a vapor chamber cooling system. This special liquid cooling technology will help cool the iPhone quickly by absorbing heat from the processor or hot parts. As a result, the phone will be able to provide stable performance for a long time.
The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max run on the A19 Pro processor and iOS 26 software. The hexa-core chip is capable of providing 40 percent more performance than the previous generation. The unibody design has made it possible to have a larger battery in the iPhone 17 Pro models. Apple claims that the iPhone 17 Pro Max model has the “best battery life ever in an iPhone”. It is reported to have a slightly larger battery of 5,000mAh capacity.
