Bangladesh Semiconductor Industry Association (BSIA) has signed an agreement with China’s Hubei Semiconductor Industry Association (HSIA).
Bangladesh will work with China to develop the country’s semiconductor sector. For this, Bangladesh Semiconductor Industry Association (BSIA) has signed an agreement with China’s Hubei Semiconductor Industry Association (HSIA). The MoU was signed between the two organizations at a function organized in the capital Dhaka on Sunday. This information was given in a press release by BSIA.
The release said that HSIA Vice President Professor Wei Liu and BSIA President MA Jabbar signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations. Under this agreement, the two associations will work together in the areas of knowledge and advanced technology exchange, joint research and development, training and certification programs for skilled human resource development, bilateral investment and business partnerships, joint event organization, trade delegations and exhibitions. At the agreement signing ceremony, BSIA President MA Jabbar expressed optimism about this cooperation. He said, “This initiative is an important milestone for us. This MoU will strengthen business relations between Bangladesh and China and open new doors for academic exchange and technological advancement.”
Wei Liu, Vice President of HSIA of China, said, “We have about 500 semiconductor member companies under our association. We want to bring some of these companies to Bangladesh and include them in our joint venture, technology transfer and capacity building agenda.’
The agreement signing ceremony was also attended by BSIA Advisory Council member and North South University professor Roknuzzaman, BUET professor ASMA Hasib, Senior Advisor Enayetur Rahman, BSIA Director Kamrul Ahsan Dewanji, Alia Shafqat, Ashiqur Rahman, Tafuri Technologies CEO Shakhawat Hossain, among others.
