Google said that the new app will give users an experience like Spotlight on Mac. Through this, files stored on computers and laptops or installed apps and necessary content can also be found in the cloud.
According to Google, by using the app running on Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems, users will be able to quickly search for any content (content) online in addition to files on computers and laptops. Search results are displayed in a separate section, allowing users to translate text from webpages or documents using Google Lens. There is also the option to copy text directly if desired.
The app is currently being tested for a limited number of users living in the United States. Google said that artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities are currently limited to smartphones. This app will also expand AI-based search capabilities to Windows computers and laptops. Users can view search results more relevantly if they log in to the app with a Google account.
