BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, NCP member secretary Akhtar Hossain and joint member secretary Tasnim Zara were subjected to political motivated and planned attacks on Tuesday. It has been alleged that the associates and supporters of the ousted dictator Sheikh Hasina attacked.
The interim government has said that a clear and tragic image of the devastating and violent political culture developed during Sheikh Hasina’s rule through this blasphemous event has revealed. The interim government is strongly committed to building a peaceful, democratic and inclusive Bangladesh by ending this devastating political culture.
The statement also said that the Foreign Ministry coordinated multiple predetermined security measures by ignoring the potential security risk of the chief adviser and his traveling political leaders on the visit. Upon arriving at John F. Kennedy International Airport, the delegation was first taken through a specific VVIP gate and was specially secured to the protected transport unit. However, due to the unexpected and last-minute visa-related complexity, the delegation has to change the path and get out of the alternative.
Although the VVIP has been formally requested to continue the access and security facilities for political leaders from the highest level of the interim government, the airport authorities rejected it. As a result, those members of the delegation were at risk.
Immediately after the incident, the interim government contacted the New York Police Department via Bangladesh Mission in New York to ensure speedy and legal action in the matter. One has already been arrested in the incident and is currently a formal investigation into the incident.
Following the incident, the security system of all members of the chief adviser and delegation has been significantly strengthened. The interim government is constantly coordinated with the US central and local law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety and dignity of its representatives abroad.
The statement said that political violence and intimidation, whether inside Bangladesh or beyond its boundaries, will not be tolerated in any way. In such an incident, appropriate legal and diplomatic action will be taken.

It is reported that the local Awami League had permitted the protest program in two places. One is in front of the JFK airport, the other in front of the Grand Hayat Hotel in Manhattan. The chief adviser is staying at this hotel.
The source from New York said a large number of BNP supporters were also present outside the airport. But the party’s secretary general could not get out with the chief adviser, the information was not informed. As a result, many of them left the place when the Awami League supporters became the majority. Then Akhtar Hossain and Tasnim Zara came out and started walking towards the car when the Awami League supporters harassed them and laughed at Akhtar Hossain. Police arrested Jubo League activist Mizanur Rahman after the incident.

The National Citizens Party (NCP) has demanded disciplinary action against them by identifying the officials responsible for failure to provide security to others, including member secretary Akhtar Hossain in New York. The convenor of the party Nahid Islam made the demand at a press conference at the party office in Banglamotar on Tuesday.
The NCP convener said the Awami League had planned the target of the masses and abroad at the target of attacks on July and abroad. These are the continuation of the fascist activity of the Awami League.
Nahid Islam said the government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs failed to provide security to political leaders, saying, “These attacks are taking place in the middle of a part of the administration.” As we have seen, the cases that have been filed in the general court outside the tribunal are being granted bail. Many of the accused are on bail and threatening the martyr families and injured persons. The same thing is happening outside the country now. It is the responsibility of the government to overcome this situation. For this reason, the government of fascism at all levels of the government will still have to remove them and submit to punishment. ”
Some demands were made at the press conference. They are – all those who attacked Aktar Hussein must be identified and arrested immediately. The Consul General of the New York will have to resign immediately and disciplinary action against the failed officials to provide security to the incident. The Awami League’s allies who were appointed in the field of fascism should be removed from the Foreign Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Advisor Mahfuz Alam will have to publish the list of five people arrested as attackers. The trial of the genocide must be transparent and accelerated in July. The trial of the terrorist Awami League as a party must be confirmed.
Responding to a question as to why none of the NCP’s migrant committee was there, Nahid Islam said, “Many people involved with our migrant committee were there. But they have been missed. A protest march was organized by the party’s Dhaka Metropolitan North and South Branches in Shahbag yesterday afternoon to protest the attack on Akhtar Hossain.
